22.12.2009 – Las Palmas \/ Gran Canaria<\/p>\n

Immer noch Las Palmas \u2013 Gran Canaria. Zwei Wochen haben wir auf ein Paket gewartet. Gran Canaria ist zwar Spanien und damit zweifelsfrei in der EU, aber irgendwie ist es doch speziell und so hat unser Paket einen Irrweg durch alle Instanzen des Zolls nehmen m\u00fcssen und wurde auch mehrmals zwischen Madrid und Las Palmas hin- und hergeflogen! (wie wir dem Internet tracking von UPS entnehmen konnten). W\u00e4hrend dieser Zeit hat sich ein Schiff nach dem anderen – mit vielen neuen liebgewonnenen Freunden – auf den Weg \u00fcber den Atlantik aufgemacht und uns blieb nichts \u00fcber, au\u00dfer Gl\u00fcck und gute Fahrt zu w\u00fcnschen und mit sehns\u00fcchtigen Augen nachzusehen. Nun endlich, k\u00f6nnten auch wir uns aufmachen… aber leider sind die Winde dagegen. Ein Tief nach dem anderen rauscht \u00fcber den (Nord)Atlantik heran und dr\u00fcckt die (normalerweise zu dieser Jahreszeit sehr stabilen) Passatwinde so weit nach S\u00fcden, dass es uns das Segeln in Richtung Karibik unm\u00f6glich macht! Zum Gl\u00fcck haben wir nette Stegnachbarn die mit uns dasselbe Schicksal teilen. Es ist ein buntes Gemisch an Seglern aus vielen Nationen die mit uns am gleichen Steg liegen: ein Kat aus S\u00fcdafrika, zwei Spanier, ein Segler aus Russland und einer aus der Ukraine, eine weitere Lagoon 500 aus den USA, ein Kandier und noch ein deutscher Segler. Anton (der zweite stolze Eigner einer Lagoon 500) hat soeben seinen brandneuen Parasailor geliefert bekommen. So machten wir (= viele Segler von unserem Steg) mit Ihm einen kleinen Ausflug auf der SV Jewel um das neue Segel auszutesten!<\/p>\n

22.12.2009 – Las Palmas \/ Gran Canaria<\/p>\n
We are still in Las Palmas – Gran Canaria. <\/span>Two weeks ago we have been waiting for a package. <\/span>Although <\/span><\/span>Gran Canaria, Spain<\/span><\/span> is clearly in the EU, it remains somehow very special and our package had to take the long way home through all the instances of custom clearance and has been even flying several times between Madrid and Las Palmas ! <\/span>(as we were tracking UPS Interent). <\/span>During this time, a ship after another left – with many new cherished friends – on their way across the Atlantic and we could do nothing else then wishing then god luck and safe journey and look up with longing eyes. <\/span>Now finally, we could also start … <\/span>But unfortunately, the winds are against us. <\/span>A depression after another rushes up over the (North) Atlantic and press the (<\/span><\/span>during this season <\/span><\/span>usually very stable) trade winds that far south that <\/span><\/span>it makes impossible<\/span><\/span> for us to sail towards the Caribbean! <\/span>Luckily, we have nice neighbors which all share the same bad luck! <\/span>It is a colorful mixture of sailors from many Nations around us: a cat from South Africa, two Spaniards, a sailor from Russia and one from Ukraine, a further Lagoon 500 from the U.S., a Candian and an other German sailor <\/span>. <\/span>Anton (the second proud owner of a Lagoon 500) has just got his brand new Parasailor. <\/span>So we all (= many sailors from our dock) joined him on a sea trial on his\u00a0 SV Jewel!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n httpv:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1X5-7I1tMJY<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 22.12.2009 – Las Palmas \/ Gran Canaria Immer noch Las Palmas \u2013 Gran Canaria.
